          Junior Competition - Overview

          The USTA’s Junior & Collegiate Competition Department supports and promotes junior and collegiate competition in the United States.  The department is divided into two areas, one that focuses on national competition for junior players (ages 18 and younger) and the other that supports collegiate varsity tennis.

          Junior Davis Cup Finals Blog

          United States Names Junior Davis Cup Team to Defend World Title

          Bjorn Fratangelo, Marcos Giron and Hunter Harrington were named to represent the United States in the Junior Davis Cup Finals, Sept. 29-Oct. 4 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. The event features 16 teams from nations across the world composed of players age 16 and under.

          Buchanan, McHale Capture 18s National Hard Court Singles Titles

          Chase Buchanan and Christina McHale captured the USTA Boys’ and Girls’ 18s National Hard Court Championship singles titles, earning them wild-card entries into the men’s and women’s main singles draws at the 2009 US Open.

          U.S. girls win third straight World Junior Tennis title

          The U.S. girls’ team, comprised of Sachia Vickery, Victoria Duval and Brooke Austin, defeated the Czech Republic, 2-1, in Prostejov, Czech Republic, to win its third straight World Junior Tennis title.

          Teams Named for World Junior Tennis Finals

          Six U.S. juniors will represent the United States in the World Junior Tennis competition finals. The U.S. captured both titles last year; the boys will look to become the first back-to-back winners since 2002 and 2003, while the girls will seek their third straight title.

          Sock, Hardebeck Win USTA 18s National Clay Court Titles

          Jack Sock and Krista Hardebeck captured the USTA Boys’ and Girls’ 18s National Clay Court Championship singles titles at the Delray Beach Tennis Center in Delray Beach, Fla., and the Racquet Club of Memphis, Tenn., respectively.
