2014 Summer Camps for Juniors: June 16 - Aug. 1, 2014
Our Summer Junior Tennis Camps offer a variety of activities, including multi-sports. Players have the opportunity to work hard, improve their game, make new friends and have fun.
include quality tennis instruction for all junior development levels, including 10 and Under Tennis programs. Full-day camp participants compete in Jr. Team Tennis each afternoon as well as in daily themed activities; multi-sport activities such as soccer, basketball, table tennis and softball; Cardio Tennis; ball machine workouts; optional off-campus field trips; and off-court fun.
Continuing this year is our Summer Tennis Academy for competitive tournament-level players who participate in intense tennis instruction as well as in daily fitness and agility training with a certified physical fitness trainer.
Seven weekly sessions start from June 16, 2014. To sign up for the camps, you may register online
starting Feb. 1, or print out the registration form and mail it in with payment to participate.Registration may also be done in person at The National Tennis Center. If registering week-to-week, a $25 administrative fee will apply if your camper is not registered by 8:00 p.m. the preceding Friday for the following week of camp.

10 and Under Tennis: Beginners through Intermediate
10 and Under Tennis camps introduce tennis to young children with fun-filled on-court activities and tennis sized right for age and ability. Continuing this year will be the inclusion of cross-training, as we introduce campers to soccer, softball and other sports that will enhance the individual’s long-term athletic development and overall camp experience. Optional field trips will also be available to all-day campers. A Field Trip Calendar will be posted at a later date.

Junior Tennis Camps: Beginners through Advanced
Our Indoor/Outdoor Junior Tennis Camps provide group instruction to youngsters between the ages of 10 and 17 at all levels of play. Areas of emphasis include technique, tactics and strategy, fitness and most of all, FUN. Continuing this year will be the inclusion of cross-training as we introduce campers to soccer, softball and other sports that will enhance the individual’s long-term athletic development and overall camp experience.
Optional field trips will also be available to all-day campers. A Field Trip Calendar will be posted at a later date.
All-day camps (Age 10-17) 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (full day session)
$400 **($320 for Week 3)
Afternoon mini-session camp (Age 8-17) 4:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. (1/2 day late afternoon session) $180 **($150 for Week 3)
Tennis Academy - Advanced Intermediate & Advanced High Performance
The Summer Junior Tennis Academy follows the USTA Player Development coaching philosophy and concepts that are instrumental in the long-term development of outstanding players. Juniors who apply for the academy must be actively competing in sanctioned tournament play. Player commitment to excellence, an outstanding work ethic and respect towards fellow students and coaches is expected.
Full day camp (Age 10-17) 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Areas of Emphasis
1. Parameters/Progressions - stroke production, footwork and shot selection/pattern play
2. Strategy and Tactics - classroom sessions addressing problem solving in match situations
3. Mental Toughness - addressing the psychological and emotional aspects of the game
4. Conditioning - strength and conditioning by Etcheberry certified professionals
5. Planning and Goals - Short/mid/long-term planning of player development
$550 per week for Weeks 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6
$440 for Week 3 (four days, with no camp on July 4)
Because of the physical nature of these camps, it is strongly advised that players are in excellent physical condition.
