2014 NTC Summer Camps: June 16 - Aug. 1, 2014 

Sample daily schedule: All-Day session :
 
8:30 to 9:00 a.m. - Check-in
9:00 to 9:30 a.m. - Campers and staff introduction; daily agenda, warm up and shot demo of the day
9:30 to Noon - Evaluation and necessary level reassignments; instruction on specific shot elements, tactics and strategy and morning field trips*
11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. - Lunch breaks in shifts
1:00 to 1:15 p.m. - Meet for afternoon drills and activities assignments
1:15 to 3:45 p.m. - Match play, field games and afternoon field trips*
3:45 to 4:00 p.m. - Daily wrap up
4:00 to 5:30 p.m. - Movie room, game room, ping-pong and unstructured tennis play
5:30 p.m. - Camp pickup in ITC lobby
 
* Field trips are optional and require separate registration form and additional cash or check payment. View Field Trip Calendar
 
Frequently asked registration questions:
 
Q. How can I register my child for camp?
A. Registration may be completed online by visiting www.ntc.usta.com or in person at the National Tennis Center. If registering week-to-week, a $25 administrative fee will apply if your camper is not registered by 8:00 p.m. the preceding Friday for the following week of camp.
 
Q. If I’m paying by check, to whom do I make the check payable?
A. All checks should be made payable to "USTA National Tennis Center."
 
Q. Is there a waiver I must sign for my child?
A. Yes, ALL children registered must have a signed waiver submitted to the Programs Office in order to participate in camp.

Weekly Calendar

Week 1: June 16-20     Ballperson Training Week

Campers will have an opportunity to learn what it takes to be a ballperson at the US Open and will act as ballpersons during match play with their peers.

* Official US Open Ballperson Tryouts will be held on June 19. Anyone age 14 or older is welcome to try out. 
 
Week 2: June 23-27     Summer Kick-off Week
Campers will take part in fun summertime activities, including "Crazy Hat Day," "Tropical Shirts/ Shorts Day" and Crazy Socks Day."
 
Week 3: June 30-July 3     Wimbledon Week (no camp on July 4)
Cheerio, it’s Wimbledon Week! Campers will learn some of the traditions of this classic Grand Slam. They are encouraged to wear "tennis whites" all week.
 
Week 4: July 7-11     Decades Week
Campers will have the opportunity to learn the history of tennis and see how the game has changed over the years.
 
Week 5: July 14-18     Minute-to-Win-it Week
Campers will be able to test their skills on the Minute-to-Win-It stage.
 
Week 6: July 21-25     Sports Heroes/Sports Teams Week 
Campers will have the opportunity to dress in the shirts/uniforms of their favorite athletes or sports teams.
 
Week 7 : July 28 - Aug. 1     Be a US Open Champion! Week
Campers will be able to experience the history and traditions of our very own US Open. Come dressed as your favorite tennis players all week.

  • Tennis racquet
  • Sunblock
  • Water
  • Hand towel
  • Hat
  • Bathing suit, swim cap and towel, if attending swimming field trip
  • Lunch and/or lunch money for vending machines or on-site food options (if in Full-Day Camp)
