NEW USTA UMPIRE CLOTHING INFORMATION
The USTA has created a new USTA logo and a newly designed National Shirt for USTA Officials. We have teamed with new supplier – Honig’s Whistle Stop, Inc of Ann Arbor, Michigan…the largest and best of the sports officiating supply companies. We have launched a new program with Honig’s for Officials to purchase the new shirt along with other top quality garments at competitive prices. In addition, Honig’s will supply all Officials who purchase a new shirt with patches featuring the new logo for you to patch existing apparel that you may already own -- in order to help to minimize your costs.
The new shirt is a required garment for all USTA Officials as of January 1, 2007. It is our goal to have shirts available for shipment in early December. In addition, effective immediately, we require that a patch of the new USTA logo be used to cover all previous logos on all items including jackets, sweaters and bags. To get these patches call Honig’s at 888-468-3284 (toll free) or go to www.honigs.com/usta website. There, you can order the shirt along with other garments and accessories. All items ordered will be billed and shipped to you in December.
USTA Officials Clothing Update 1/24/07
USTA Certified Officials are reminded that all USTA Officials Apparel orders should be made by either calling Honig’s toll free at 888-468-3284 or going to www.honigs.com/usta. If you have a problem with an order, please call Honig’s at 888-468-3284 or e-mail Dick Honig directly at dick@honigs.com.
Here is a brief inventory update from Honig’s:
• Shirts are being air freighted to Honig and should arrive sometime between mid to late March.
• USTA Officials patches are being air freighted to Honig for a mid-February arrival.
• Hats are being air freighted to Honig and should have arrived by January 19th. There will be an immediate turn around by Honig to any official who has already ordered a hat.
Due to delays in shipments and orders, the USTA Officials Department apparel program transition will run through March, 2007!
