2007 OFFICIAL'S SCHOOL SCHEDULE
The schedule for the 2007 Official's Schools is now available.
All schools are scheduled for two days. The Saturday classes are for the experienced officials. The USTA/Sectional, the Referee and the ITA classes will all be held on Saturday. The Sunday class will be for the less experienced officials (0-5 years). There may be a Sectional T/E session on Friday evening. The contact person can give you detailed information if this impacts you. If a school is scheduled for only one day, this is a Full-day referee class. Again, for details, check with the contact person.
Umpires with a National or Professional cetification need not attend a 2007 school unless they wish to be certified as a USTA or below chair umpire, referee or line umpire. They then must attend the Saturday morning session and whatever school applies on Saturday afternoon. All National and Professinal umpires must attend the Saturday morning class and the ITA class on Saturday afternoon for ITA certification for 2007.
THIS YEAR, THERE WILL BE NO TESTS GIVEN DURING THE CLASSES. All test must be downloaded from this website, taken at home and the answer sheet brought to class. If you do not bring the completed answer sheet to class, you will NOT receive credit for the class. These tests are now available on line on the USTA web site. They are open book using the 2006 FAC. By taking the test at home, we can cut down on the time spent in class. TAKING THE ON_LINE TEST IS REQUIRED.
If you have any questions regarding school requirements, please contact your sectional chair or Lois Huggins, the National Chair, so that you can fulfill the needed requirements in a timely fashion. If you are unable to open or download the test, please contact your sectional chairman to obtain a hard copy of the exam.
