Angela Garcia joined the USTA Player Development staff in January of 2007 as the Assistant for Junior & Collegiate Competition. In this role she coordinates the ITF Tournaments held in the United States as well as the National Junior Tournament Schedule. Additionally, coordiantes the tournament event grants and processes wild card request for National Championships and ITF events held inside the United States. Angela is acting event coordinator for special events such as the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championship and the Orange Bowl International Tennis Championship.
In Summer of 2006, she received a Master of Science in Sports Administration from Florida State University after participating in their Global Sports International Program, with an emphasis on such events as Wimbledon, Roland Garros and Tour de France. She worked as the Assistant, Director of Basketball Operations for the FSU Women’s Basketball Team. She graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in the Spring of 2003 with a major in Athletic Training and a double minor in Biology and Physical Education. She was a two year scholarship athlete for OBU Division II Women’s Soccer.
