Jamea Jackson- National Coach, Women's Tennis

Jamea Jackson

Jamea Jackson joined the staff of USTA Player Development on July 1, 2013 as USTA National Coach, Women’s Tennis. Her primary responsibility is to facilitate coaching and training programs to assist in the development of our best prospects at the USTA Training Centers as well as at other locations.

Jamea is an accomplished tennis player; she competed on the WTA tour from 2003-2009 and achieved a career high ranking of #43 in 2006. She was also part of the Fed Cup team in 2006 and acted as court coach for several top collegiate players, including Natalie Frazier and Abigail Spears.

Prior to joining the USTAPD, Jamea served as the Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach at Oklahoma State University from 2009-2013. During her tenure, the Cowgirls went from an unranked to a Top 25 ranking during the 2013 season. Jackson coached three Academic All Big12 student athletes and in 2013, she guided OSU to its first Big 12 Championship appearance in over a decade. Jackson also coached the USTA collegiate team for two years, working with current professional players Irina Falconi, Mallory Burdette, and Nicole Gibbs.
