"The mission of USTA Competition Training Centers is to provide competitive training opportunities that motivate and encourage all junior players to develop to their highest competitive level".
USTA Competition Training Centers were launched in 1988 with a goal of bringing our best players together to train and compete together. Since then we have tried to provide all of the coaches involved in the program with the latest in sport science and technical coaching developments. Many of our best young professional players have gone through our CTC programs. The success of the program depends on the participation of our best developmental coaches.
USTA Competition Training Centers were established to help young players develop competitive skills without worrying about rankings. The Centers serve as a training site for some of the best 10 -14 year-old players within their respective local areas. These Centers supplement the training schedule of players and are not intended to replace any aspect of their regular training.
Our goal is to develop a base of well-trained junior tennis players, who have strong fundamental skill, and love to compete. Each year the CTC program assists approximately 2000 of our best young players.
