USTA NJTL OF THE YEAR AWARD
PRESENTED AT
USTA Community Tennis Development Workshop
ELIGIBILITY
The USTA NJTL of the Year is directed toward any chapter or program that has received that year’s “Section Chapter of the Year.” The pool of applicants is the 17 Section winners.
CRITERIA
The USTA NJTL of the Year criteria include: quality of on-court program, quality of management structure, interaction with the local parks and recreation department, support of the local business community, and ability to raise and administer funding.
SELECTION PROCESS
The national USTA NJTL staff and committee review all the “Section Chapter of the Year” applications.
TIMETABLE
Early October: All USTA NJTL “Section Chapter of the Year” applications must be received at the USTA national office.
Mid-October: The recipient is notified prior to presentation.
Early February: Presentation made at the Awards Banquet during the Community Tennis Development Workshop.

Formerly known as the USTA National Junior Tennis League Chapter of the Year Award and the USA Tennis NJTL Chapter of the Year Award.
YEARBOOK DESCRIPTION
The USTA NJTL Chapter of the Year Award is designed to honor an outstanding USTA NJTL chapter or chapters that have demonstrated continued excellence in recreational tennis. The award recipient or recipients are selected by a panel of USTA NJTL Committee members and the USTA Outreach national staff. The award is presented each February at the Community Tennis Development Workshop.
