The CTDW is the largest annual gathering of CTA/NJTL leaders in the country. Attendees will enjoy top notch sessions lead by specialists in their field and networking opportunities with more than 500 grassroots community tennis leaders from across the country. Day of Service

The USTA partnered with HandsOn New Orleans for an afternoon of service immediately after the conclusion of the 2012 Community Tennis Development Workshop.
 
For four hours the volunteers would paint, mulch, tape and tackle any task necessary to freshen up ARISE Academy, in New Orleans' Ninth Ward, before the arrival of students after the weekend.

2012 CTDW: Day of Service

For four hours the volunteers from both the USTA and HandsOn New Orleans – a local community service development program - would paint, mulch, tape and tackle any task necessary to freshen up ARISE Academy before the arrival of students on Tuesday. Before long, two freshly-painted 36-foot 10 and Under Tennis courts, a 60-foot court, two foursquare surfaces and a basketball court gleamed in the setting sun. Read More

USTA announces 2011 No-Cut High School Coach Starfish Award Winners

The USTA has announced high school tennis coaches Jim Neal from Niskayuna High School in Niskayuna, N.Y., and Jim Solomon from Hall High School in West Hartford, Conn., have been selected as the 2011 United States Tennis Association Starfish Award winners. The USTA today announced that Rita Gladstone of Port Orange, Fla., has been selected as the recipient of the 2011 USTA Recreational On-Court Trainer of the Year Award. Gladstone was chosen from the USTA’s team of trainers who promotes the growth of tennis through exemplary on-court training, assists the national office with the direction of this program, and is very well connected with their Section’s efforts.
