Ticket Exchange Availability Update for the US Open

May 25, 2008 12:28 PM

Ticket Exchange Information for those effected by
inclement weather during the 2006 US Open

For the patrons affected by the rain, every effort has been made to provide multiple options for exchanging tickets from cancelled sessions. For those ticket holders who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster or the US Open Box Office for weather affected sessions of this year's US Open can do the following:

Exchange for a comparable seat, subject to availability, to the same session for the 2007 US Open.

As a reminder, the inclement weather policy does not apply to Subscription Box, Series and Luxury Suite ticket holders. The USTA will evaluate the impact of the cancelled sessions on these patrons, and further communication will be provided in the Fall.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the sessions where the inclement weather policy is in effect, there is one remaining option for patrons:

OPTION 1: For 2007 US Open Exchange (Mail Only)
Ticket holders for cancelled sessions also have the opportunity to exchange tickets purchased through Ticketmaster or the US Open Box Office for a comparable seat, subject to availability, to the same session for the 2007 US Open. Ticket holders must submit a written request along with their actual tickets within 30 days of the last day of the 2006 US Open in order to secure the exchange. Tickets should be sent via certified mail to:

US Open Ticket Office
USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center
Flushing Meadows-Corona Park
Flushing, NY 11368

SPECIAL Courtesy Exchange For Session #17 (Tuesday, Sept. 5 Day Session) was officially completed (based on the Inclement Weather Policy), with one match lasting more than one hour in Ashe Stadium. The USTA will still allow individual tickets purchased through Ticketmaster or the US Open Box Office for this session to be exchanged, subject to availability, for Thursday, September 7 Day (Session #21).

The Inclement Weather Policy is in effect for the following sessions:

Tuesday, August 29 -- Day Session (Session #3)
Tuesday, August 29 -- Night Session (Session #4)
Friday, September 1 -- Night Session (Session #10)
Saturday, September 2 -- Day Session (Session #11)
Saturday, September 2 -- Night Session (Session #12)
Tuesday, September 5 -- Night Session (Session #18)

Again, thank you for your continued patience and cooperation.
