 | | The USTA announced the top American juniors who will represent the United States in the qualifying events for the Junior Davis Cup (16-and-under), Junior Fed Cup (16-and-under) and the World Junior Tennis competitions (14-and-under). Each event features a four-team, round-robin competition, May 4-6, in Montreal, Canada. The top two teams from each division will advance to a 16-nation world final. The Junior Davis Cup and Junior Fed Cup World Finals will be held September 25-30 in Reggio Emilia, Italy. The World Junior Tennis Finals will be held August 6-11 in Prostejov, Czech Republic.

The United States became the first nation to win consecutive World Junior Tennis boys’ titles in 2003, led by Donald Young. In the girls’ competition, the United States won the 1992 World Junior Tennis title and was runner-up in 1993. Former U.S. junior international team members (in addition to Courier and Chang) include Andy Roddick, James Blake, Lindsay Davenport, Jennifer Capriati, Mardy Fish, Robby Ginepri, Jamea Jackson, Ashley Harkleroad, and Lisa Raymond. |
