2004 USA Team Tennis Southeast Regional Championships

This year's event was held at the Florida Tennis Center in Daytona Beach, FL.  After hurricane Jeanne finally left the area, 11 teams representing Florida, Georgia, Texas, North Carolina, and Tennessee battled for the chance to win the Southeast Regional Championships.  The teams, representing various clubs and organizations, finished at the top of their respective divisions at the USA Team Tennis (Youth) Section Championships before advancing to the 2004 USA Team Tennis (Youth) Southeast Regional Championships.

The winner of the 14 & under, intermediate division was Harbour Ridge Hurricanes, a team from USA Tennis Florida, District 15.  They defeated five other teams with a total games score of 265, thirteen games more than the next team.

The 18 & under division had 5 teams giving their all to win the championships.  Space Coast Survivors, a team from USA Tennis Florida, District 17, came out of the weekend victorious with 204 total games, 19 games in front of the second place team.

The event also included a Sportsmanship Awards Ceremony, in which coaches in each division voted for opposing players after each match.  Winners in the 14 & under division were Hayley Hotchkiss from the Macon Matchpoints and Ryan Duprey from the Terminators.  LeAnn Nawrocki from Space COast Survivors and Bryson Bell from Big Whiffas were the Sportsmanship Award winners from the 18 & under division.
