2004 USA Team Tennis Northeast Regional ChampionshipsThis year's event included the top 13 teams from Maine, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, New York, and Massachusetts. The teams, representing various clubs and organizations, finished at the top of their respective divisions at the USA Team Tennis (Youth) Section Championships before advancing to the 2004 USA Team Tennis (Youth) Northeast Regional Championships.
The weather was spectacular at the Sea Colony Tennis Resort in Bethany Beach, DE. Thirteen teams and 121 participants took to the courts from the following USTA Sections: New England, Eastern, Middle States, and Mid-Atlantic. After grueling matches in both divisions, the following teams were victorious.
The 14 & under, intermediate division was captured by Dover I (USTA Middle States). They defeated the Lewiston Smashers (USA Tennis New England) by only 6 total games.

The event also included a Sportsmanship Awards Ceremony, in which coaches in each division voted for opposing players after each match. In the 18 & under division, Drew Koehne (Delaware Raiders) and Caitlin Sternberg (Jim's Dandies) won the honors. Of note is the fact that Caitlin received every possible vote for sportsmanship from every coach. Congratulations! In the 14 & under, intermediate division, Vera Papisov (Rahanis) and Michael McLaughlin (Penn State) took home the honors of USTA Sportsmanship Award winners.
