Tucson, Ariz. – After a brief delay, Saturday’s action at the 2012 USTA League 2.5, 7.0, 9.0 Mixed Doubles National Championships has begun under partly to mostly sunny skies at the El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort.
Overnight showers caused an approximate one-hour delay as the courts were being dried this morning. Several matches got underway at 9 a.m. (MST) and by 9:50 a.m. matches were being played on all 16 courts.
Among the matches taking place, Northern (1-1) took the courts against Northern California (2-0) in a 7.0 Flight One match. Northern California can advance to this afternoon’s 7.0 semifinals with a victory.
There are also three 2.5 matches underway: Northern California (2-0) vs. Caribbean (2-0); Mid-Atlantic (1-1) vs. Southern (1-1) and Midwest (0-2) vs. Florida (1-1).
