It's great to be back here surrounded by all my teammates on Team USA! It feels like just yesterday I was meeting them all for the first time in South Africa at my first World Team Cup. Now we are all here in Seoul, Korea, ready to compete again!
It's only been two days, but I am already starting to love Seoul. All the people are so friendly, and the sites are spectacular! But the most exciting thing, of course, as always, is the tennis here! Competition will start tomorrow, but even so, we all have already seen some amazing players warming up and getting ready.
Team USA is looking great this year, and I know that we will present some stiff competition. My fellow teammates, Shelby Baron and Chris Herman, are looking great, and we have already begun to get into the groove of things. Our head coach, John Devorss, who is new to the team along with my teammate Chris, already has us amped up and excited for competition!
Tonight we have opening ceremonies, and they are sure to be a blast. I am so excited to see all the teams together and to hear the draws for the tournament.
Even though we have only been here a short time, I can already tell this will be a fun trip! I am so excited to cheer on USA this year, and I can't wait to see all the great tennis!!!
