Guide to USTA Annual and Semiannual Meetings

These events are the family reunion, business meeting, planning session and continuing education all rolled into one.

Pick up the registration packet. It contains important materials and information. And while you’re there, ask questions. The volunteers and staff know where to eat or dance. They also know where to go and who to ask for more information. Attend First Timer’s Orientation if offered.

Committee meetings are open unless otherwise indicated on the agenda. (Check registration packet for any new guidelines.) Some meetings will be both (open meeting followed by working or closed session) and the Chair will indicate to the audience whether the working portion is open to those outside of the committee. Occasionally, it will be obvious that attendance is by invitation or position (for example, Council and Committee Chair luncheon meetings). You are welcome at committee meetings and sessions. Discover new areas of interest, broaden your scope or just see what’s going on. Formats differ, so don’t expect the same from every meeting.

Elective sessions presented by the USTA SERV Committee are excellent and provide great learning experiences. Take advantage of this opportunity.

Be sure to attend scheduled social events if possible. Check registration packet to see if tickets/invitations are included or necessary.
