Increase your knowledge by engaging with these informative videos that showcase activities to get kids having fun and playing tennis right away. The videos showcase the USTA QuickStart Play Format Practice Plans for ages 5-6, 7-8 and 9-10. These practice plans contain eight progressive practice sessions for each age category. Other video selections include the QuickStart Tennis play format in action and tips on coaching youth. Come back often as new information will be added regularly.

Ages 5-6

Watch kids engaged in activities on a 36’ or smaller court with 17 – 21 inch racquets and with red foam or felt tennis balls.

The goal, help kids have fun and enjoy the experience of hitting balls back and forth right away.

Ages 7-8

Learn activities for kids playing on a 36’ court with 21 – 23 inch racquets and red foam or felt tennis balls.

The goal, help kids learn the basics of rallying. They’ll ultimately progress from a simple rally to an actual game played on the 36’ court.

Ages 9-10

These videos highlight activities for kids playing on a 60’ court with 23 – 25 inch racquets and orange low compression balls.

The goal of these games and activities is to help develop the technical skills that will enable players to develop tactics for different playing situations.
