2009 COMMUNITY TENNIS DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP AWARDS
In February, representatives of CTAs from across the country attended the USTA Community Tennis Development Workshop (CTDW) held in Hilton Head, SC. The CTDW is the largest annual gathering of CTA leaders from across the country.
This year we were delighted to honor the Brandon Tennis Association (photo below) as the USTA CTA of the Year for their outstanding work to develop and promote the growth of tennis in their small yet vibrant community of Brandon, SD. In addition to the CTA of the Year Award, we honored two outstanding lifelong community tennis leaders with the prestigious Eve Kraft Community Service Award: Bill Humes of Princeton, NJ, and Hank Merges of York, PA (photos below).
