The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center hosted the Boy’s 16 L1 Eastern Designated Closed Championships from March 20-22 and March 24-26, 2009.

No. 4 seed Andrew Adams met No. 3 Bert Vancura in the final, with Adams capturing the singles title over Vancura, 7-5, 6-4.
