Indian Wells, CA. - No matter what the final score is, Carmel and Novak Nash, who represent their respective Northern California teams, will have a reason to celebrate at the 2008 USTA League presented by Chrysler 5.0 Adult National Championships.
The couple, who live in El Dorado, Ca. is celebrating their four-year wedding anniversary today. They met nine years ago when they were both teaching tennis in Sydney, Australia. They moved to the United States in 2005.
“He’s my best friend,” said Carmel. “We play tennis and golf and we enjoy the same things.”
According to Carmel, they have had a good time playing in the Nationals at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. “Its fun meeting people from other states,” she said.
Carmel and Novak are also mixed doubles partners. In fact, they will be playing in the upcoming USTA Mixed Doubles Nationals in Sacramento scheduled for November.
In celebration of their fourth anniversary, the couple planned to go out to dinner. However, the celebration might not go until the late hours as both Carmel and Novak and their Northern California teams are scheduled to play at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday.
