TUCSON, Ariz. — Semifinal play has concluded at the 2012 USTA League 4.5 Adult National Championships, setting the stage for the finals, which are slated to begin at 10 a.m. (PDT).
The first team to clinch a spot in the finals were the men from the Mid-Atlantic section with their win over the Southern California men, 3-2. The men from Roanoke, Va., will compete for the Nationals crown against the Southwest men, who won their semifinal over Texas, 3-2.
On the women’s end, the Eastern women from New York City defeated the team from the Middle States section, 4-1, to move on to the finals. They will face the New England women, who beat Southern California, 3-2, in the semifinals.
