Linda Wells, San Antonio, Texas

Physical therapist Linda Wells didn't play tennis for 18 years, until a patient asked her if she played. Remembering how much she loved the game, Wells picked up a racquet again and has now been a USTA League captain for 10 years and is a tennis player for life.

Physical therapist Linda Wells was treating a patient a tennis player, when the patient asked if Wells played tennis. Wells, then 44, had played tennis as a kid, but it had been more than 18 years since she had last picked up a racquet. Wells, now 55, has been a USTA League player ever since, and a captain for more than 10 years. She says tennis is – and will always be – an integral part of her life. Read More
 

One man, many ways to love tennis

Steve Beatty, 24, of Buffalo, NY has played tennis since he was 10 years old, competed in many junior tournaments growing up, then played collegiate tennis and the game continues to be a huge part of his life. He is a teaching professional at Miller Tennis Center, an assistant tennis coach at Daemen College as well as being the captain of 15-20 USTA League tennis teams. Read More
