In 1998 the United States Tennis Association assumed responsibility for wheelchair tennis in America from the National Foundation for Wheelchair Tennis. 

Since then the USTA has become the first National Governing Body of both Olympic and Paralympic tennis governing Paralympics, Para Pan Am Games, and World Team Cup.

The USTA is happy to announce the site and dates for the 2012 USTA-ITF Junior Camp Americas. The camp will be held in Mission Viejo, CA from July 8-13 2012.

The USTA has released the selection procedures for the 2012 BNP Paribas World Team Cup. The event will take place in Seoul, South Korea in May 2012.

During 2011 we received weekly instruction from tennis pros Jamie Macias and Tim Schnaible of Match Tough Tennis Academy in Encino, CA. We have a group of anywhere from 5-10 players every Saturday who go thru instructional drills for 2 hours, and also a free hitting session afterwards for whoever likes to continue.

The 2012 All Comers Wheelchair Tennis Camp is a national camp promoting instruction, coaching and awareness for wheelchair tennis. The 2012 camp is targeting 24 participants from around the country ages, 12 and older of all skill levels who have permanent disabling conditions that require the use of a wheelchair for sports involvement.

The United States Tennis Association’s National Wheelchair Tennis Committee and National Staff annually review the national rankings of all wheelchair tennis players to ensure fair play at every level.

The 2011 PTR Championships on Hilton Head Island showcased a beautiful week of tropical paradise weather and incredible tennis competition.

Over 120 athletes from over 16 countries around the world traveled to St. Louis for the thirty-third annual US Open USTA Wheelchair Championships, presented by The ROHO Group.

The 2011 tournament was a great success!  It was held at the beautiful Tualatin Hills Tennis Center in Portland, Oregon.  The tournament is run by the Northwest Wheelchair Tennis Association (NWTA).
