SUNDAY, JULY 12

Hey everyone,

We had a tough one again today, with James Blake going down in four sets to Marin Cilic. He had a bunch of opportunities and showed a lot of heart in the third set, battling back from down two sets and a break to take the third. With that match, the U.S went down 3-1 in the final scoring.

This week was really an incredible week for me. I learned a lot from being around these guys. The energy being in the Arena is something that is almost unexplainable in words, especially when you're away. The crowd was going crazy, cheering at every sign of life for the Croation team, from first-serve faults to the seemingly never-ending cheer when a winner was hit.

All the guys seem to have all their routines down. Needless to say, it's very professional. It was really a great experience for me to be a part of. In the dead-rubber match, Bob Bryan battled back from down two match points to win 7-6 in the third, showing just how great a player he is.

We got back to the hotel around 11, and with a 6 a.m. flight out of Trieste, Italy, we had to leave for the airport at 3. We all packed up and then killed some time by playing cards until it was time to go.

It's been a great week for me, and I've enjoyed blogging for all of you.

SATURDAY, JULY 11

Hey everyone,

Today was a solid start to the USA comeback. The Bryans took care of business with a routine 6/3 6/1 6/3 performance. Mardy Fish and James Blake both took it kinda easy today; hydrating a lot and getting a nice little groove in after the match. Devin and I hit a few balls for a little while and then went for a nice little jog on the beach.

We came back to the hotel for dinner, and then really just took it easy for the rest of the night. James is up first tomorrow against Marin Cilic. We're all ready to go. Tune into twitter for instant updates on the matches.

Goodnight,

Ryan

THURSDAY, JULY 9

Hey guys,

Today started off the same as usual, we woke up and had breakfast and then headed over to the courts. Devin got the morning shift playing Mardy Fish in a practice match, so I was spectating. We then headed over to the official draw to see who would be playing first tomorrow. James got the duty, playing against Ivo Karlovic, whose serve we've been simulating all week by standing in mid court on top of a platform to get a similar bounce. The Bryan's have been updating everything on twitter as it happens and a picture of the simulation can be found on their twitter page (@bryanbros).

Tonight we had a laid back dinner at the hotel, followed by a quick trip over to view the fashion show that was being held here. Devin had a small dose of the way I felt last night when he had to get up and dance with one of the hostesses . That picture can also be found on the Bryans twitter.

Were all very excited abouted about tomorrow,, and ready to go.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 8

Hey guys,

Today kicked off pretty intensely with a nice morning workout with Coach Jay Berger before all the guys got up. Mardy and James were going to play a practice match. Since we only have 1 court and set practice times from 12-3 pm and 6-9 pm ( the Croatian team going from 9-12 pm and 3-6 pm) Devin and I had to get up early and to get a practice in before everyone was there. We came back to the hotel to have lunch and then went over to watch practice. Everything is still going well here, everyone is really excited and anxious to get things started.

The official dinner was tonight so we all dressed up in suits and headed over to the restaurant, Dvi Murve, it was being held at. Everything was going pretty laid back and relaxing, until they informed me that since this is my first time here, I was going to have to sing " Don't Stop Believing " by Journey. In front of EVERYONE.

For the people that know me, they knew this was going to be tragic before it started. The Bryans did get up and play the keys and guitar for me. It was tough for anyone to notice how good they were playing because everyone was laughing so hard at my inability to sing. I forgot the lyrics about 8 times, and was off course from the opening line. It ended up being pretty good entertainment for everyone.

We have another early start so I'm going to head to bed, but you'll be hearing from me tomorrow.

TUESDAY, JULY 7

Hey guys,

I'm Ryan Harrison I'll be blogging throughout the week here in Croatia.

I arrived here in Croatia on Sunday after a long 24 hour travel day. All the guys were still in London because Andy Roddick had the finals to play and they were coming down Monday morning, so I traveled over here alone with coach Jay Berger.

I took all of Sunday off to try and get adjusted to the time change and relax a little bit. I went for a little jog to get my muscles moving a bit and check out the resort that were staying at. They've been very good about accomodating us with everything we need. We have a team room that all of the breakfasts and lunches are served in with pretty much every type of food you can imagine.

To start on Monday I had a morning practice with Coach Berger before all the guys got here. That was when I heard that Andy was not going to be coming. After practice we came back to the hotel and just as we were getting back all the guys were arriving. Afternoon practice turned out to be pretty long for me.

Our other practice partner, Devin Britton, needed to rest after playing so many matches in the Juniors at Wimbledon. I ended up having to go for about 2 and a half hours that afternoon because both James Blake and Bob Bryan wanted a full workout.

Today was a little easier, We started around 10:30 and went until 12, and then again from 3 to 4:30. Mardy Fish arrived today, so we were all glad to get him here as soon as possible to start getting used to the court, time zone, etc. We went out for dinner at this nice restaurant on the water. It was our first dinner with the whole team there.

It's already pretty late so I'm going to get some sleep but I'll catch up with ya'll tomorrow.
