Tickets for U.S. vs. Serbia Davis Cup quarterfinals on sale Feb. 27

February 25, 2013 11:13 AM
Bob and Mike Bryan in action against Brazil in the 2013 Davis Cup First Round.
After a thrilling 3-2 win over Brazil at home in the 2013 Davis Cup First Round, the U.S. team next hosts Serbia in the quarterfinals, April 5-7, at Taco Bell Arena in Boise, Idaho – and you can be there for all the action.

Tickets for the best-of-five tie will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, Feb 27, at 10 a.m. MST. An exclusive pre-sale for USTA members begins on Monday, Feb. 25, also at 10 a.m. MST, and ends on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 11:59 p.m. MST (or while supplies last).

Players for each team will be officially named no less than 10 days prior to the beginning of the tie. World No. 1 Novak Djokovic has committed to playing for Serbia. Against Brazil, the U.S. team consisted of John Isner, Sam Querrey and Bob and Mike Bryan.

Ticket prices range from $90 to $500 and are sold as three-day packages ($30-$166 per day). Additional ticket fees apply. Tickets can be purchased at www.idahotickets.com.

The best-of-five match series begins Friday, April 5, with two singles matches, featuring each country’s No. 1 player against the other country’s No. 2 player. Saturday’s schedule features the pivotal doubles match. The final day of play on Sunday will feature two "reverse singles" matches, when the No. 1 players square off followed by the No. 2 players meeting each other in the final match. All matches are best-of-five sets until one nation clinches the tie. (The matches are then played as best-of-three sets.).

This match will mark just the second meeting between the U.S. and Serbia in Davis Cup competition. Led by Djokovic, Serbia won the only previous meeting between the two countries, 3-2, in the 2010 World Group First Round in Belgrade by a Djokovic-led team. Serbia is only one of only three countries to have a winning record against the U.S. in Davis Cup play.
