USTA Women's $50,000 Challenger presented by Farmers Classic is apart of the USTA Professional Challenger series. This tournament is one of 96 other USTA Pro Circuit events held in the United States. This tournament is a conducted by the USTA Player Development staff in conjunction with the Pro Circuits department to provide tennis playing opportunities to young Americans looking for a chance to break into the top of the professional game.
The USTA, the national governing body for tennis in the United States, is one of more than 200 national federations that are members of the ITF. Through the USTA Pro Circuit, which it owns and operates, the USTA stages the largest number of ITF Circuit events in the world. This year, players from more than 50 countries will be competing in 96 USTA Pro Circuit events for $3 million in prize money.
The International Tennis Federation (ITF), the governing body for tennis on a worldwide basis, introduced an apprentice-level Circuit for men in 1976 and for women in 1984 in an ongoing effort to provide young players with an avenue to the international game. Today, there are more than 375 men's ITF Circuit events and 350 women's ITF Circuit events held annually in 80 different countries around the globe.

Begins Sunday, May 22nd
The Singles Qualifier tournament will begin Sunday, May 22nd. The main draw will begin on Tuesday, May 24th and will include a 32-player singles draw and a 16-player doubles draw. The Women's singles final will be on Sunday, May 29th. Players from all over the world will be competing in this years event.
The tournament will take place at the Home Depot Center, 18400 Avalon Blvd, Suite 600, Carson, CA 90746.
Free parking is available at the Home Depot Center, unless another event on site is charging for parking.
This event is free for all spectators. Come out an enjoy some great tennis.
