The 2013 Mylan World TeamTennis season kicks off this July, and you can catch Andy Roddick, Venus Williams, the Bryan Brothers and more of your favorite tennis stars in action live both on television and on a live stream on your own personal computer throughout the three-week season.
Altitude, Comcast Sports Net, Madison Square Garden Network (MSG), Mediacom, Tennis Channel and Time Warner Cable Sports will televise five Mylan WTT matches this summer, broadcasting more than 70 hours of live coverage that will air on a combination of national and regional television networks, as well as online.
Venus Williams will kick off the action, leading the defending champion Washington Kastles at home on July 9 against the Boston Lobsters. The Kastles have a 32-match winning streak heading into the 2013 season, the second longest in major professional U.S. team sports (to the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers, who won 33 in a row in 1971-72).
Springfield Lasers star Roddick will compete in the next two televised matches, when the Lasers visit the Philadelphia Freedoms on July 10, followed by the Washington Kastles on July 11.
Bob and Mike Bryan, the No. 1-ranked doubles team in the world, will headline play on July 20, when the newest Mylan WTT team, the Texas Wild, hosts the Orange County Breakers in Irving, Texas. The Wild played for 20 seasons in Kansas City, Mo., before relocating to Irving earlier this year.
The Mylan WTT Finals presented by GEICO will take place on July 28 and rounds out the five-match series that will be televised live.
Leif Shiras will host all televised Mylan WTT matches and will be joined in the broadcast booth by former doubles great Rennae Stubbs, who will provide color commentary. Harry Cicma will report from the sidelines.
