Vinci routs Ivanovic; Radwanska, McHale move on in Montreal

MONTREAL (AP) -- Roberta Vinci routed former champion Ana Ivanovic 6-0, 6-0 on Thursday in the Rogers Cup to advance to the third round of the hardcourt tournament.

The 28th-ranked Vinci needed only 45 minutes to eliminate the 11th-seeded Ivanovic, the 2006 winner.

In other second-round matches, second-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska beat Mona Barthel 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5); 10th-seeded Na Li edged Canada's Eugenie Bouchard 6-4, 6-4; Carla Suarez Navarro topped 15th-seeded Sabine Lisicki 3-6, 6-3, 6-4; and No. 9 Marion Bartoli beat Shuai Peng 6-1, 6-3.

Americans Varvara Lepchenko and Christina McHale won their matches. Lepchenko beat Dominika Cibulkova 6-4, 6-4, and McHale edged Galina Voskoboeva 7-5, 3-6, 6-2. Canada's Aleksandra Wozniak also advanced, beating 13th-seeded Jelena Jankovic 6-2, 6-3.
