2004 USA Team Tennis Midwest Regional ChampionshipsThis year's event included the top 13 teams from Michigan, Minnesota, Colorado, Kansas, Idaho, Oklahoma, Missouri and Utah. The teams, representing various clubs and organizations, finished at the top of their respective divisions at the USA Team Tennis (Youth) Section Championships before advancing to the 2004 USA Team Tennis (Youth) Midwest Regional Championships.
"The season-ending USA Team Tennis (Youth) Midwest Regional Championships is a wonderful event for young tennis players to display their skills and take pride in their hometown tennis programs. It was amazing to see both the competitive spirit and social aspects of tennis merge, on and off the court," said Sue Riemann, USA Team Tennis (Youth) Section Coordinator for the event.
After a wonderful weekend in Oklahoma City, the winners of the USA Team TennisMidwest Regional Championships have been awarded. After battling five other teams in their division, the Idaho Falls Team Tennis captured the 18 & under, Intermediate title with a total of 276 games.

The 14 & under division was comprised of seven teams from participating USTA Sections.
BCC B 14 IA of Longmont, CO captured the 14 & under, Intermediate title with a total of 199 games after playing six grueling matches over the two and a half days.

The event also included a Sportsmanship Awards Ceremony, in which coaches in each division voted for opposing players after each match. The players selected epotimize the philosophy of USA Team Tennis utalizing cooperation, teamwork and comradery in a fun, active envirnoment. Andrew (Pete) Messer from Anoka - Andover won for the boy's 18 & under while Lizzy Cutler from Salt Lake North - Coach Mike's won for the girls (not pictured). In the 14 & under division, Mallory Irwinsky from Woodlake 2 (not pictured) and Jonathan Rogers from St. Anthony won the USTA Sportsmanship Award.
