Thai-Son Kwiatkowski is among the top American juniors set to compete at several South American ITF events.
Eighteen-year-old Thai-Son Kwiatkowski of Charlotte, N.C., and 16-year-old Christina Makarova of San Diego are among the top American juniors who will compete in four clay-court International Tennis Federation (ITF) junior tournaments in South America over the next month.

Along with Makarova, ranked 16th in the world, the girls’ competitors include Louisa Chirico (16, Harrison, N.Y.), a U.S. Junior Fed Cup champion who reached the final of a USTA Pro Circuit $25,000 women’s tournament in Surprise, Ariz., last week, as well as No. 79 Katrine Isabel Steffensen (16, Scarsdale, N.Y.), No. 84 Dasha Ivanova (16, Beaverton, Ore.), No. 85 Madison Bourguignon (15, Boynton Beach, Fla.), No. 86 Alicia Black (14, Boca Raton, Fla.) and No. 93 Rasheeda McAdoo (17, Boca Raton, Fla.).
