National Junior Tennis and Learning

Since 1984, NJTL annually selects 36 children to experience a free, week-long camp that includes tennis development, health and nutrition, college preparation, guests speakers and cultural excursions.  The 2012 camp will take place in MInneapolis/St. Paul, MN. Application is now open!!

 

Children in 5th-12th grade compete for $79,000 in college scholarships and children 10 and Under compete for NJTL NSAC Plaques. Points are based on school reports cards, tournament results, and USTA Jr. Team Tennis participation.  New NJTL Chapters invited to apply to compete beginning Spring 2012.

 

The First Serve Life Skills Curriculum uses tennis to empower youth with the skills, values and experiences they need to become responsible and successful citizens. Materials include free training, curriculum, instructor’s manual, children’s playbooks and graduation certificates.
