INDIAN WELLS, Calif. – After a memorable weekend of exciting tennis, the Pacific Northwest men and Mid-Atlantic women won their respective titles at the USTA League 3.0 Senior National Championship.
On a beautiful, sunny day at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, the Mid-Atlantic women’s team from Leesburg, Va. defeated the Pacific Northwest women’s team from Lake Oswego, Ore., 3-0 to capture the women’s Championship.
The Southern women’s team from Lake Charles, La. finished in third place as they defeated the Missouri Valley women from Tulsa, Okla., 3-0.
In a thrilling men’s championship final that saw the last match determined by a match tiebreak, the Pacific Northwest men’s team from Bellevue, Wash. edged the Texas men’s team from Tyler, Texas, 2-1.
The Southern men’s team from Hot Springs, Arkansas defeated the Mid-Atlantic men’s team from Fairfax, Va., 3-0 to finish in third place.
