Rising star Denis Kudla became the youngest men's singles champion on the USTA Pro Circuit in 2010, when he won the title at the Austin, Texas, Futures in October at the age of 18 years, 2 months and 0 days. Kudla's other results during the year include reaching two singles semifinals in Vero Beach, Fla., and Niceville, Fla., and winning consecutive doubles titles in May at Futures events in Orange Park, Fla., and Tampa, Fla. He recorded his first ATP World Tour win at Newport in July, defeating Santiago Ventura of Spain, 6-3, 3-6, 7-5, in the opening round, and he finished runner-up to Jack Sock in the US Open boys' final.
