Approximately 300 Special Olympians enjoyed participating in a Special Olympics Tennis Carnival, which was held in conjunction with the Tallahassee $50K Challenger on April 6, 2012. Greenberg Traurig, the USTA Pro Circuit and USTA Florida sponsored the event, along with the City of Tallahassee Parks & Recreation Department. Many of the kids who took part in the event play tennis on a regular basis at their schools, as well as in the Special Olympic games held each year.
