Wheelchair tennis is alive and well at the Arvada Tennis Center. For the past 5 years a summer and fall league session of up/down tennis, which pairs an able-bodied player with a disabled player, have been offered. Grant support from the United States Tennis Association has allowed Apex Park and Recreation District to keep fees affordable and offer financial support when needed. Read More

Bob Masella, 51, of Columbia, S.C. has been a USTA League captain since 1999 and is currently the captain of a 7.5 combo team and a 3.5 Adult men’s team. He has been competing in USTA Leagues since 1996 and started playing tennis while rehabbing injuries sustained from a car accident while in college that left him in a wheelchair. Read More
