Sande French, an ITF silver-badge chair umpire from Northern California, has been an official for 23 years, including many years at Wimbledon. She will be sharing her thoughts and experiences with USTA.com while she is officiating at 2008 Wimbledon.

Chair Umpire Handbook
The United States Tennis Association’s Chair Umpire Handbook is intended for officials who chair matches at all levels of events where the chair umpire is making the calls on court. The procedures, techniques and tips in the Chair Umpire Handbook are based on the experiences of chair umpires who officiate these events.

2008 US Open Documentation (log-in required)  
The deadline for the required documentation from officials selected for the US Open is extended to Tuesday, July 1.

2008 ITF White Badge Referee School:
National Adult/Senior & Wheelchair National Championships
The USTA will be hosting an ITF White Badge Referee school which is a new ITF certification category.  We encourage officials with referee experience and interest in referee assignments at these selected USTA/ITF events (who currently do not hold any ITF certification) to apply for this school by completing the USTA OFFICIALS DEPARTMENT ITF WHITE BADGE REFEREE SCHOOL INTEREST FORM below.  All applicants who complete this interest application will receive the ITF certification form for completion.

2008 ITF White Badge Referee School Interest Form
The USTA and ITF will be holding an ITF White Badge Referee Certification School in early October 2008 for non ITF certified officials with referee experience.
