The Technical Department of the USTA oversees annual tennis ball approvals, US Open Series court testing and other technical matters relating to the game of tennis.
Annualy, the USTA oversees tennis ball testing in the United States. Our program aims to assure the quality of tennis balls in the US marketplace and in doing so carefully monitors the tennis balls used by US consumers.
Our services are provided at no cost to organizations and communities, and range from pre-planning project services, to planning and development services and may also include partial funding of some projects.
