If you are a community-based organization that provides tennis programming to the community, you may qualify to become a CTA and/or NJTL. Since each network offers different benefits, if you qualify for both, we recommend taking the time to register for both. This opens your options for different grants, awards, and programs offered to both your organization and your constituents.

Does your community based organization have youth tennis and education programming?
Yes No

Option 1 (yes)

You should:
  •  Register as an NJTL
  •  Register as a CTA
  •  Have a USTA Organization Membership
Option 2 (no)

You should:
  •  Register as a CTA
  •  Have a USTA Organization Membership

A CTA (Community Tennis Association) is "any incorporated, geographically defined, not-for-profit, volunteer-based organization that supports or provides programs which promote and develop the growth of tennis." CTAs are diverse in nature, ranging from single purpose facilities to multi-purpose facilities. Visit www.usta.com/cta for benefits of becoming a CTA.
NJTLs (National Junior Tennis and Learning) are community based organizations that offer beginner to advanced on and off-court programming, emphasizing educational and life-skill components, for youth. This curriculum should be offered at little or no cost to the participant. Visit www.ustafoundation.com/njtl/ for benefits of becoming an NJTL.
In addition to CTA and/or NJTL registration, we recommend that every organization register for USTA Organization Membership. This allows your organization to be eligible to receive great members-only benefits that can help you get connected to the USTA and tennis. If you haven’t already, click here to become a member.
