2013 Advocacy Handbook (Digital)

The USTA Advocacy Handbook, in combination with The Big Serve, will enable and empower volunteers and staff at every level of the USTA to engage in successful advocacy efforts for tennis facilities and programming.

This is your game. You know the huge role that tennis facilities and programming can play in improving one's quality of life and in strengthening communities. Make your voice heard, and turn your passion into action. Alone, you can impact a few, but together, we can impact millions.

Interactive Advocacy 101

A supplement to the Handbook, this new online interactive courseware will guide you through scenarios to help give you the confidence you need to conceive and garner support for your tennis project.

Whether you’re just starting out and dreaming of building a state-of-the-art multi-court tennis facility, you're interested in youth tennis courts or you just want to figure out how to repair the cracked courts at the local park down the street, you’re in the right place – the USTA is here to help.

Looking to start an after-school program or get tennis in physical education classes? Visit the Schools page to see how the USTA can provide helpful resources for your programs.

Another resource for aspiring tennis advocates is the USTA's Learning Resource Center (LRC), which offers USTA staff, volunteers and tennis organizations across the country a full array of educational and training opportunities. Resources are offered in many learning formats including: face-to-face workshops; on-line programs; reference materials and relevant website links.
