Savannah's Special Pops promotes tennis for all

Special Pops Athlete
Special Pops is dedicated to enriching the lives and well being of the intellectually challenged through active participation in tennis. This volunteer organization conducts free instructional clinics, introducing players to the basics of tennis, including exercise drills, instruction, and tournaments. Most importantly, though, is the opportunity for social interaction among the athletes. Read More

Tennis For Fun program in Tampa, Florida to receive Adaptive Tennis National Community Service Award

The USTA has announced that Tennis for Fun, based in Tampa, Fla., has been awarded the 2011 USTA Adaptive Tennis National Community Service Award. The award is given to a program or program leader that has demonstrated continued excellence, dedication and service in tennis for an adaptive tennis community.​ Read More

Tennis a hit at National Dwarf Games

The USTA Texas Section teamed up with the Dwarf Athletic Association of America to offer tennis at the National Dwarf Games in Arlington, Tex. 10 and Under Tennis equipment and courts were utilized to expose athletes from ages 4 to 35 and their families to tennis. The USTA has been invited to participate in the 2013 World Games to be held at Michigan State University. Read More

AAKD is A-OK for New York Special Olympics group

The USTA extended invitations to Arthur Ashe Kids' Day to various adaptive tennis groups in the area, including athletes from the New York Special Olympics Hudson Valley Region. Read More
