So far, 2013 is proving to be a fruitful year for America’s teenage girls – and not just for Sloane Stephens and Madison Keys at the Australian Open.

CiCi Bellis (13, San Francisco) captured both the singles and doubles titles at AEGON Junior International Teen Tennis in Bolton, England, a premier international tournament for the world’s top 14-and-under tennis players.

Bellis defeated France’s Lucie Wragnier, 6-2, 6-4, to win the singles title on Friday, while Bellis and Jaeda Daniel (13, Port Charlotte, Fla.) beat Michaela Gordon (13, Los Altos Hills, Calif.) and Claire Liu (12, Thousand Oaks, Calif.), 7-5, 6-3, for the doubles crown.

Additionally, Gordon reached the girls singles semifinals, while Patrick Kypson (13, Greenville, N.C.) and Sam Riffice (13, Roseville, Calif.) each reached the boys singles third round.

All eight American girls and boys, along with USTA Lead National Coach Leo Azevedo and USTA National Coach Andy Brandi, will now travel to Tarbes, France, to play in Les Petits As, another prestigious 14-and-under event that claims several future world No. 1s, such as Rafael Nadal, Kim Clijsters and Martina Hingis, among its champions.
