USTA PNW Scholarship Opportunities & Online Scholarship Application

The United States Tennis Association Pacific Northwest Section (USTA PNW) is dedicated to fostering inclusivity and ensuring that tennis becomes a sport accessible to individuals from all walks of life. The organization firmly believes that everyone, regardless of age, physical abilities, or financial circumstances, should have the opportunity to experience the joys and health benefits of tennis.

Recognizing the challenges faced by many families, USTA PNW has established a comprehensive youth scholarship program as part of its grassroots initiatives. This program is designed to provide need-based financial support to young players ages 5-18 who would otherwise be unable to participate in tennis due to economic barriers.

Scholarship application are accepted year-round for the following USTA PNW programs:

  • RecTennis - Recreational Tennis programs in local parks and schools for kids ages 5-17

  • Youth Tennis Programming  - Monthly youth programming at Galbraith Tennis Center in Tacoma, WA and Vancouver Tennis Center located in Vancouver, WA

The USTA PNW Youth Scholarship application process takes less than 10 minutes to complete and to determine eligibility, family financial information is necessary. Each application is assessed based on financial need, not skill level, with the possibility of covering a portion or all of the on-court instruction costs. After an application is submitted, the USTA PNW Scholarship Committee will review and make a decision within 7-10 days.
