Bridgewater State University
Bridgewater State University faculty have developed a Professional Tennis Management Graduate Certificate, the first of its kind in New England. The PTM Certificate Program, developed in collaboration with USTA-U, the educational division of the USTA, provides students with knowledge and skills related to teaching and coaching tennis. The certificate leads to career outcomes such as Head Tennis Coach, Camp Directors, Marketing Directors, Tennis Trainers and Instructors.
The College of Education and Allied Studies (CEAS) and College of Graduate Studies (CoGS) PTM Graduate Certificate is an innovative one-year cohort program offering all courses in online or hybrid format. The program has a required 10-day on-campus summer residency. Students will complete a 16-credit course load, including a three-credit internship experience in the tennis industry. Those with prior experience as a tennis professional may opt for an approved elective course in lieu of an internship. High-impact training within the program advances excellence in student learning and prepares well-rounded students for life beyond BSU.
