2021 PTR and USPTA Membership Dues Grant
As part of the rebuild phase of the USTA’s “RELIEF, RECOVER, REBUILD” efforts surrounding the COVID-19 crisis, a $4 million grant has been designated to support certified tennis-teaching professionals.
All certified teaching pros in good standing with USTA-accredited teaching professional organizations—namely, the USPTA and PTR—are eligible to have their full 2021 membership dues covered through this grant.
The USTA is proud to support these teaching organizations in their commitment to raising standards for all teaching pros, and in doing so, elevating the experience of those playing the game at the grassroots level.
To be eligible, teaching professionals must meet the following requirements by October 1, 2020:
- Be a member in good standing with a USTA accredited teaching professional organization in 2019 and/or 2020 and actively teaching tennis in the U.S.
- Complete the online curriculum for Safe Play Training and background screen by Oct. 1, 2020
- Complete a percentage of their continuing education units by Oct. 1, 2020
- Commit to helping rebuild our industry by offering an introductory program for youth or adults in 2021
The USPTA and PTR will verify that all requirements have been met by members as part of the renewal process, and will then supply the USTA with the roster of qualified members who have met the criteria.
To apply for this benefit, please contact your respective teaching professional organization.
