Starting January 1, 2018, USTA started its accreditation program to recognize coaching certification organizations that exemplify performance, integrity and quality.   As the accrediting body, the USTA accredits the organizations who certify individuals.

There are currently two organizations in the US that certify individuals - the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA), and the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR).  There are four different levels of certification that individuals can achieve:

Level 1: Instructor

Level 2: Professional

Level 3: Specialist

Level 4: Master

For more information on how to get certified, contact the USPTA or PTR
