General Questions

Q :: Why did the USTA upgrade their systems?

A ::  The USTA is investing in improving the experience of their customers across all websites and apps (USTA.comTennisLink and Net Generation). This transformation will be a staged approach and will require every individual over 13 years old to have a USTA Account with a unique email.

This work will first and foremost provide greater security for our customers. In addition, this work will create a better, easier to manage experience across USTA websites and apps. This is a fundamental step for all the work moving forward and will make it easier to create and manage more personalized, improved websites, apps and digital tools.

Q :: Why did the USTA change the login to use email instead of my USTA Number?

A ::  The utilization of email address to login to an online system is an industry standard for online system access and is more secure. This is not only a more secure approach to managing customer accounts, but will allow for a better overall experience across key current websites and future websites, apps, and digital tool enhancements.

Q :: What USTA systems were upgraded?

A ::  The login process across three key properties; USTA.comTennisLink and Net Generation, was upgraded as well as the USTA Membership system. The USTA Membership system has been updated to a new, easier to use and improved e-commerce platform.

Q :: Who was affected by the system upgrade?

A :: All USTA Account holders (members and non-members) accessing USTA.comTennisLink and Net Generation accounts will be impacted by these system changes.

Q :: What if I have a Net Generation Account and not a USTA Account?

A ::  Your email and password you use to sign in to Net Generation can be used to sign in to USTA.com and TennisLink. No action is required.

Q :: Is the USTA planning to use my  email address in new ways, such as selling to third parties for their use?

A:: The USTA's privacy policy and terms of use have not changed. The USTA will not sell any personal information including email address to any outside entities.  Also, in the management of certain sweepstakes, promotions, or programs, the USTA may share your information with USTA sections, affiliated businesses, sweepstakes partners or US Open Sponsors (collectively, “Permitted Third Parties”). Your registration constitutes permission for the USTA and Permitted Third Parties to contact you for promotional and/or marketing purposes.

Q :: I am trying to use Facebook to login, why isn't it working?

A :: The email address associated with your Facebook account has to be the same as the email address associated with your USTA Account. As long as those two accounts share an email, Facebook login should work and will allow access to the appropriate features in TennisLink. If Facebook login still is not working, please contact USTA Member Services at 1-800-990-8782.

USTA Account Questions

Q :: What is the new USTA Account?

A ::  You will be able to use the same login across USTA.comTennisLink and Net Generation. Moving forward, as new websites, apps, and better digital experiences are created, these properties will be incorporated.

Q :: Will my new USTA Account work on USOpen.org and for purchasing tickets?

A ::  No, at this moment in time, separate logins are required.

Q ::  I am a USTA member and I use TennisLink. Do I have a USTA Account?

A ::  Yes, please click here to activate your USTA account. As of July 2017, each USTA Account holder must have their own unique email address. In addition, we are asking USTA Account holders to create an email login and set a password (for parents with children 13 and under, click here for more info on how to manage your child’s account). Your USTA Account is good to use across most USTA websites - USTA.comTennisLink and Net Generation. There is no need to create separate accounts or logins.

USTA Account Login Questions

Q :: I don’t know the email address associated with my USTA Account. What should I do?

A :: Contact USTA Member Services at MemberServices@usta.com or 1-800-990-8782.

Q :: Where can I find my USTA Account Number?

A :: Login to your account on TennisLink and visit My Tennis Page.

Q :: We are a husband and wife who share one email address and have a USTA Family Membership, can we still share our email address?

A :: While we understand this may be an inconvenience, providing a unique email address for each account is a requirement in our system and will make it easier to manage information and accounts specific to an individual. You may keep the email address associated with one of the accounts but will need to create additional email accounts assigned to the other account(s) in advance of the changes (exceptions include 13 and under accounts, click here for more info).
