Community Tennis is one of USTA Northern's four strategic priorities in helping achieve its mission of promoting and developing the growth of tennis in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Northwestern Wisconsin.
USTA Northern's 2020 Provider Guide is available now, covering a wide range of topics like Net Generation, Junior and Adult Tennis, Grants and Resources, Training Opportunities, and more!
Find general information on the components of Community Tennis below:
- Community Tennis Associations - Community Tennis Associations (CTAs) are any incorporated, geographically defined, nonprofit, volunteer-based organization that supports or provides programs which promote and develop the growth of tennis.
- National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) - NJTL is a network of local chapters which provide free or low-cost tennis, education and life skills programming.
- USTA Schools Tennis - Starting in 1984, under the leadership of Arthur Ashe, the USTA Schools Program has brought the joy of tennis to millions of students in schools across the United States. ADVERTISEMENT The USTA provides the training and resources necessary to implement the program and relies on dedicated teachers, coaches, parents and administrators to put the program into action.
