LEAGUE PLAYER INFORMATION

League Suspension Points
Beginning with the 2022 Spring/Summer session, the District will use the League Grievance process for misconduct and League Suspension Points for misconduct penalties. League Suspension Points may result in suspension and/or removal from the session and/or the league.
The League Suspension Point system is a National rule and replaces the District rule regarding misconduct.
The District League Coordinator will NO longer investigate issues of misconduct. The District Grievance Committee will investigate issues of misconduct following the submission of a League Grievance Form by a Captain or the District.
Players are subject to League Suspension Points for misconduct upon grievance review and approval of the District Grievance Committee. If a player is suspended and/or removed from the session and/or the league, their team registration fees for their teams for that session will be forfeited.
ADVERTISEMENTTeams are subject to total team default (including total team default penalties) and team disqualification for misconduct upon grievance review and approval of the District Grievance Committee. If a team is disqualified from the session, their players will forfeit their team registration fee for that team for that session.
Captains must file a League Grievance Form by the deadline determined by the type of alleged misconduct. A $100 grievance fee will be collected by the District for each grievance. The grievance fee will be refunded if the grievance is approved. Click HERE for the League Grievance Form.
Any party to the grievance can file a League Grievance Appeal Form by the deadline determined by the District Grievance Committee. A $100 grievance appeal fee will be collected by the District for each grievance appeal filed. The grievance appeal fee will be refunded if the grievance appeal is approved. 2022 Year End Ratings
Year End Ratings are based on match play within the ratings period using the computer ratings system. The District makes NO decisions regarding player ratings and player ratings appeals. Players can view ratings in TennisLink on the USTA League page tab under “Find NTRP Rating Info” using a USTA number, team number, or player name.
Players can appeal their rating (up or down) in TennisLink on their Player Dashboard, however, there is NO guarantee that their rating appeal will be granted. If the player’s rating appeal is denied, that means that the player is outside of the appealable range. For computer rated players, if the player’s rating appeal is denied, their rating is unappealable until the player generates a new Year End Rating.
Players that were rated up can continue to participate on their Fall/Winter team until the end of the Fall/Winter session (except for Clearly Above Level players) but can NOT participate in the championships for their Fall/Winter team (except for 2.5 Women players) if their new rating is outside the level of play. Players that were rated up can now register for a higher level Fall/Winter team until the end of the Fall/Winter session.
Players participating in Adult 55&Over, Mixed 18&Over, and Mixed 40&Over can continue to use their old rating during the Fall/Winter session (except for Clearly Above Level players) but can NOT participate in the championships for their Fall/Winter team if their new rating is outside the level of play.
Players that were rated down can continue to participate on their Fall/Winter team until the end of the Fall/Winter session but can NOT participate in the championships for their Fall/Winter team if their new rating is outside the level of play. Players that were rated down can now register for a lower level Fall/Winter team until the end of the Fall/Winter session.
Players participating in Combo 18&Over will continue to use their old rating during the Fall/Winter session and the Combo 18&Over championships.
Clearly Above Level players can NOT continue to participate on their Fall/Winter team until the end of the Fall/Winter session if their new rating is outside the level of play and can NOT participate in the championships for their Fall//Winter team if their new rating is outside the level of play. Clearly Above Level players are ineligible to appeal their Year End Rating. The District League Coordinator will notify any Clearly Above Level players, their Captains, and their Facility League Coordinators.
If a player’s rating appeal is granted, the player can continue to participate at their appealed level, however, just like self-rated players, appealed players are subject to disqualification or promotion and match wins reversal after generating (3) strikes. A strike is generated when a self-rated player or appealed player exceeds their rating level range based on match play results. Strikes are NOT disclosed until the player receives their 3rd strike. The District League Coordinator will notify any disqualified or promoted players, their Captains, and their Facility League Coordinator
If a player’s rating appeal is denied and the player has a medical condition, the player can request a medical rating appeal. However, unless the player’s medical condition is considered “catastrophic” by the National Medical Appeals Committee, the player’s medical rating appeal will likely be denied.

Court Fee Increase
Beginning with the 2022 Spring/Summer session, court fees for away players will increase from $14 per player to $16 per player. This increase was approved by the Facility League Coordinators.
Combo 18&Over Change for 2022
Beginning with the 2022 Spring/Summer session, Combo 18&Over will be offered during the Spring/Summer session and the Fall/Winter session. Combo 18&Over will no longer be offered during the Summer session. This change was approved by the League Committee.
Beginning with the 2022 championship year, the Combo 18&Over Spring/Summer flight winners will play the Combo 18&Over Fall/Winter flight winners at the Combo 18&Over District Championships.
Match days for Combo 18&Over are as follows:
Combo 18&Over Men (Sundays)
Combo 18&Over Weekend Women (Sundays)

Team Registration Fees
Team registration prices are as follows: $30 per team for Adult, $20 per team for Combo/Mixed/Tri-Level, and $15 per team for Captains, New Players, and Returning Players. Note: Combo is Combo 18&Over, NOT Adult 55&Over or Adult 65&Over that also uses combined ratings like Combo and Mixed.
No special team number required to receive the Combo/Mixed/Tri-Level discount. Captains will be provided a CAPTAINS teams number in order to receive the Captains discount. New players and Returning players will need to email the District League Coordinator to obtain a special team number in order to receive the team registration fee discount. Returning players are also eligible to receive the team registration fee discount provided that they have NOT played Adult Leagues in the past five (5) championship years.
Team Registration Fee Refunds and Transfers
Beginning with the 2022 Spring/Summer session, the District will no longer offer Team Registration Fee refunds for players that did NOT participate in any matches for their team during the league session, except for when:
a player registered for a team and that team dropped prior to league scheduling
a player moved out of the District and did NOT participate in any matches for their team during the league session
a player suffered an injury/illness and did NOT participate in any matches for their team during the league session (a medical note is required for team registration fee refunds due to injury/illness)
a Captain registered as a player OR a player registered as a Captain
Players may request a team transfer from their registered team (or the District Holding Team) to another team provided that the player has NOT participated in a match for that team during the league session. Team transfers can only be completed between teams within the same championship year.
