IMPORTANT UPDATE ON STATUS OF BOAR’S HEAD SPORTS CLUB AND BOAR’S HEAD RESORT 1/6/2022; 9 A.M.

The Boar’s Head Sports Club (BHSC) and Boar’s Head Resort are currently experiencing a power outage due to the recent snow storm across Virginia. At this time, the power has not been restored to the resort or BHSC. We have made the difficult decision to cancel the Combo Mixed Sectional League Championship. This event will not be rescheduled.

Registered Captains and players will receive communications today (Jan. 6) with additional information. Again, we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding through this challenging weather-related situation.

IMPORTANT UPDATE ON STATUS OF BOAR’S HEAD SPORTS CLUB AND BOAR’S HEAD RESORT 1/5/2022; 2 P.M.

The Boar’s Head Sports Club (BHSC) and Boar’s Head Resort are currently experiencing a power outage due to the recent snow storm across Virginia. USTA Mid-Atlantic has been in constant communication with the club and resort to assess the situation and determine if power will be restored in time to host the Combo Mixed Sectional League Championship as scheduled.

We are exploring a variety of scenarios to host this event as intended, however with timing unknown for when power may be restored, we are facing a challenging situation and slight modifications to the schedule may be required. Teams would not be required to play earlier than their originally scheduled first team match.

We aim to have a decision about the event by TODAY, Jan. 5 at 5 p.m., but may need some flexibility pending the flow of information from all parties involved. We will update you promptly. We know many of you are preparing to travel and we want to give you as much information and advance notice as possible. USTA Mid-Atlantic Combo Mixed Sectional Championship - CANCELLED

Congratulations to all teams advancing to the USTA Mid-Atlantic Combo Mixed Sectional Championships. This event brings together teams from all over the Mid-Atlantic in the Combo Mixed division of the USTA League program. Teams are comprised of mixed-gender combo doubles teams at the 5.5, 6.5, 7.5, 8.5 & 9.5 levels for this championship.
